What is a Single Radial Diffusion (SRD) assay?

SRD is a quantitative immunodiffusion assay in which antigen diffuses from a well into agarose containing a specific antibody. When antigen and antibody reach equivalence, a precipitin ring forms. The ring size is used to determine antigen concentration relative to standards.
